HOMESTEAD: The MBW Podcast Mascot

HomesteadHomestead Lane is the love child of a clandestine tryst between Benji and Wicket the Ewok. The result of this coupling is the first living breathing muppet. However, fearing the scandal and attention that such an illegitimate mup would cause, little Homie was thrown on the streets at about six months old, and began her search for a new life.

She was picked up on the side of the road by a kind stranger and dropped off at the Pasadena Humane Society, where Stephanie Young adopted her, giving the furry little sweetheart a new home, a fresh “lease” on life, and much love.

Along with her newly adopted parents, Homegirl’s favorite things are people, other dogs (especially gal pal Countess Coco Lena De MillMott), meat of any kind, apples, dingo bones, belly rubs, long naps with mom and dad, oh, and meat of any kind. She is most comfortable when being cuddled, but needs a long walk every day to wigglewag her bundunkabutt and patrol the neighborhood.

As a certified member of the Squirrel Patrol, she spends hours chasing squirrels into trees. She is not sure what she would actually do if she ever caught one, but believes life is not about the destination - it’s the journey.

Holmes is honored to be the mascot of the Women Make Movies Podcast. She says she hopes that everyone will go to a pet rescue and save one of her friends.
