Download a free film by a woman for Women’s History Month

www.Jaman.com is offering free downloads of an exciting collection of films reflecting the experiences of women from all over the world for International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.

From March 5-9, viewers can download the following films free of charge:

Amu – An inspirational feature The New York Times calls “unafraid to tackle big topics: identity, history, truth, injustice,” Amu is the story of a young American woman who returns to India to discover the place where she was born. She stumbles across secrets and lies from her past — a horrifying genocide that took place in Delhi in 1984 turns out to hold the key to her mysterious origins.

Chahinaz: What Rights for Women?
- Chahinaz is a young Algerian woman who dreams of freedom and cannot understand why her life is being dictated to her. This young, sparkling woman loves her country, but is suffocated by the weight of tradition and religion. “I want to be a man’s equal. That’s all. And that’s not just a Western ideal.” This remarkable documentary short from French filmmakers Samie Chala and Patrice Barrat spans several continents as Chahinaz searches for answers that will bring about change.

Migrationa dramatic short by acclaimed Indian filmmaker Mira Nair of Monsoon Wedding and The Namesake fame. Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Migration is part of collection of rich mini movies that aim to dismantle myths and raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.
